      Petrological and petrographic studies, as well as high-precision geophysical exploration, were con.ducted on the newly discovered komatiites in the Heishiliang area of the Karakoram. The results show that theHeishiliang komatiites can be divided into 5 volcanic cycles, 2 volcanic rhythms, and 4 volcanic facies. The main li.thologies consist of glassy peridotite, basalt, and basaltic volcanic clastic rocks. In the multilayered glassy perido.tite, typical copper-nickel ore-forming minerals such as chalcopyrite, pentlandite, and bornite are observed, indi.cating good metallogenic potential. The spot olivine in the glassy peridotite has an MgO content of 43.34%-46.15%,with an average of 44.78%; TFeO content of 12.21%-14.42%, with an average of 13.27%; and a Fo value of 84.24-86.73, with an average of 86.59, belonging to the precious olivine. The Ni content in the olivine is 699×10-6-2381× 10-6, showing significant Ni loss and having undergone crystallization and melting separation processes, which isconducive to copper-nickel mineralization. The glassy peridotite has higher magnetization and polarization rates, al.lowing for effective differentiation from the surrounding rock formations. A 1∶10000 high-precision magnetic surveyidentified three magnetic anomalies, with the M-1 anomaly considered to be caused by a concealed rock body be.neath the ground, locally enriching magnetic bodies and being a favorable area for copper-nickel mineralization.Four concealed faults are inferred, which may be channels for magma migration. Based on the study of typicalKomatiite-type copper-nickel ore deposits and combined with the mineralization characteristics of Komatiite in thestudy area, a "trinity" prospecting prediction geological model has been established, and targeted technical methodcombinations have been proposed, providing support for the next exploration phase in the region.
